Building in public · Milestones

What we're building, and what's next.

Psych.me is a small nonprofit shipping in public. This page is where we track what's on the bench, what's next, and the public channels where the work lives.

Shipping Cadence

Last 26 weeks

Quieter
Shipping

TODO: wire to Linear "Done" activity (one shipped issue per filled square). Until then the grid is a hand-tuned placeholder.

Initiatives

Now, Next, and Later.

Every initiative below is sized so a small team can finish it and ship it. We keep the list short on purpose. Completed items move to a sage-green "done" state with the title linking through to the live listing.

Now · First Ad Grant Push

NFC Tags

Programmable NFC Tags that put practical ADHD tools one tap away. Guided breathing, task re-entry prompts, medication timers, dopamine-sensitive routines. Alongside the physical tags we're building interactive reading aids for self-help books that help readers implement the concepts they're learning, backed by a private RAG over the source texts. This is the first product we plan to promote when our Google Ad Grant comes online.

Now · Donation Infrastructure

eBay Donations

We invite in-kind donations of self-help books, health & wellness products including supplements, clothing items that facilitate healthy movement and exercise (especially running shoes), and electronics including computers. We hope that this offers a low friction way of asking support from our supporters that saves them the hassle of liquidating the products themselves.

Next · AI Tools

iOS Reading Aid

The first AI tool we're shipping is an iOS reading aid backed by a private RAG over the self-help canon. Readers can ask questions of the book they're reading, work through exercises in conversation, and surface concepts they're struggling to apply. Built to work alongside the NFC Tags. Not a substitute for clinical care.

Next · Body-Mind Connection

Health Supplements

Curated supplements that emphasize the cardiovascular and metabolic side of ADHD wellbeing, which the clinical literature has linked to attention and executive function. Educational first, commercial second. Every recommendation will cite the research.

Next · Storefront

Etsy Store

A single storefront for the NFC Tags and supplement bundles, plus print-on-demand educational pieces (single-page guides, dosage trackers, habit ledgers). Etsy keeps us close to the maker and creator audience that overlaps heavily with the ADHD community.

Later · Practitioner Network

Practitioner Directory

A searchable, geo-aware directory of ADHD-informed therapists, coaches, and specialists. Trust ranking is built on each practitioner's own published writing and clinical output rather than aggregated star ratings on Google or Yelp. The goal is to surface clinicians whose understanding of ADHD shows in how they think and write, not in how heavily their listings have been review-farmed.

Where to Find Us

Building an audience in the open.

We're seeking gold-certified nonprofit verification on the platforms that offer it, so supporters can recognize the org at a glance. The accounts below are where the work shows up first. Cards without a handle are still being set up.

X

Gold-certified org checkmark

Verified nonprofit signal for supporters and journalists. Daily-ish field notes on psychology, self-help, attention and the evolving intersection of AI and mental health.

Substack

Behind-the-scenes for paid supporters

Long-form essays and build updates. Paid tier funds the org and gives subscribers early access to the app, NFC Tags, and research summaries.

YouTube

Flagship channel for AI and neurodivergence

Where we make the case that AI is an unlock for mental health, especially for ADHD brains. Tool walkthroughs, research breakdowns, as well as general psychology, self-help, and mental wellness.

Reddit

Awareness in the communities already talking

r/ADHD, r/ADHDers. Show up, answer questions, link to free resources and be a non-commercially motivated helpful resource in the space.

Instagram

General psychology and Bookstagram outreach

General psychology and self-help content, plus our Bookstagram presence for self-help titles we recommend or write about.

TikTok

Short-form general psychology and BookTok

Short-form general psychology and self-help content, plus the BookTok side of our self-help outreach strategy.

Book-Oriented Platforms

Reviewing, recommending, and reading in public.

We'll leave reviews on many of these platforms both to be genuinely helpful and to build the Psych.me presence in book communities. Listed in rough order of priority.

Goodreads

The default reading-life graph. Reviews and shelves visible to a broad audience including authors, publishers, and casual readers.

BookBub

Reader-following platform with strong discovery loops for new releases. Useful for surfacing books we recommend to wider audiences.

Fable

Social experiment

Newer social reading app with a book-club lean. We're treating this as a social experiment.

Hardcover

Social experiment

Indie alternative to Goodreads with a cleaner UI and an active power-user base. Tagged as a social experiment alongside Fable.

LibraryThing / StoryGraph

Where we track the self-help books that anchor our reading lists and recommendations.

Amazon

Amazon limits author review visibility so we'll be focusing instead on selectively publishing self-help guides on their KDP Select platform which feeds their Kindle Unlimited platform. This matches our goal of raising awareness even at the cost of monetary gain. We'll also eventually be testing our ADHD-adjacent products like our implementation of NFC Tags when we have the funding for proper Amazon on-site promotion.

Want to help us ship faster?

Every initiative on this page runs on donor support. A one-time gift or recurring contribution is the most direct way to move the next square from quiet to shipping.
